St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital is nestled near the foothills of Camarillo on Antonio Avenue. It was founded in 1974 by a group of community leaders who believed that a hospital was needed in their community. In addition to 82 acute-care beds, St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital offers a 48-bed sub-acute care unit and the only hospital-based hyperbaric medicine unit in Western Ventura County
