To stay NO KILL and improve the lives of the animals in our care, be timely and compassionate in our responses, educate the public through community outreach and, provide for the health and safety of the citizens and animals of Ventura County. With an organizational goal to save every healthy, adoptable animal, we're averaging a 91% live release rate. This is a tremendous feat for a large, open admission municipal shelter! The numbers of animals adopted, going into foster care and to rescue organizations are all up significantly. We look forward to expanding current programs and implementing progressive new ones to achieve additional increases in positive outcomes in 2015.
